I AM Breathing, Therefore I AM

The wisest one-word sentence? Breathe. – Terri Guillemets

Today is the last day of our 7 Day Challenge. Over these past few days we’ve been exploring a variety of ways to connect the breath to your attention creating calm and peace in your whole body. Today, I want to focus on how you can be with your breath in an I AM statement and encourage you to have it ready during moments when you are feeling overwhelmed or stressed out. These are usually the hardest times to tune into your breath and remember you have tools that can help you. Maybe bookmark this page, keep the video open on your desktop, or maybe even set up a routine time to do these daily tapping meditations.

Because when you feel like nothing is going right and there are so many things left undone that it's hard for you to imagine ever having time for yourself again we get caught up in the overwhelm storm. You may even be feeling this way because you're trying very hard not to get too anxious about something but the more awareness and attention that goes into worrying, the worse it seems to become. Create a habit of supporting yourself before the storm sweeps you away from being present. Connecting with your breathing will help ground and open the energy to flow in a less chaotic state. Stop and take just 5 or 6 minutes to use these tools or whatever works for you to change the trajectory of your day. Your small effort will touch every interaction you have, and grow the peace and calm you deserve.

Remember that regardless of all the thoughts, feelings, and pressure that steal your ability to feel your best, you are. You are you. You are here. You are breathing. Being you is already enough.

As you breathe in, cherish yourself. As you breathe out, cherish all beings. Dalai Lama
